Brothers fight off gang
PA Auckland A young man and his two brothers had to fight four gang members out of a Glenfield flat last evening after they had rampaged through it for about 15 minutes. The attack was prompted when the man asked two gang members to move their car, which was blocking his driveway. They drove off, but returned soon afterwards with others.
“They burst in threatening me and my wife, smashing windows, and kicking holes in the walls,” said the man, who did not wish to be identified. "We asked them to just;
forget it but they were after blood.
“They picked, up our brooms and started taking to the place. We just 'had to fight them out the door. It was terrifying.” . , They were too shaken to stay at the flat last night, i. A neighbour who heard the commotion took the number of the gang members’ car and telephoned the police. The Takapuna, police arrested two youths aged 16, one aged 15, and a man aged 20 at a nearby hotel soon afterwards. ■ -5 . They have been cnarged with assault, wilful damage, and burglary.
