Wool costs to rise
PA Wellington The Commerce Commission has approved an overall increase of 6.24 per cent in wool handling charges to apply from January I. The New Zealand Woolbrokers’ Association said that the increase was to cover increased labour costs, which came into effect on December 15.
Workers under the wool, grain, hide and manure store workers* award received pay and allowance increases of between 13.5 per cent and 15 per cent
