The singer, Elton John, who was the best man at the wedding of his sound technician and make-up artist in Auckland yesterday. Carla Kielich, whose parents live in Auckland, married Clive Franks in England four months ago, but wanted to confirm the union with her family. Both she and Mr Franks have worked for the singer for the last six years. Elton John, who attracted almost 40,000 to his Western Springs concert on Saturday evening, would not disclose any details of the wedding, or his involvement with it. “this is the bride’s day, not mine,” he is reported to have said. —(PA).
