Trampolining of high standard
There was a pleasing standard tn all three disciplines at the Canterbury age-group trampoline, championships at Aranui High School on Saturday. The top trampoline com | petitors showed the benefits of| competing at the national championships in the Hutt Galley at Labour Day week-end. They gave polished displays. The double-mini trampoline entries were lower than last year, but the standard was higher. The event is no longer regarded as a novelty, and the rise in standard has been rapid; In the tumbling competition the standard was also high. The section was dominated by a strong team from the Christchurch School of Gymnastics. Lee Williams won the 11 and 12 vears girls’ section, shawing the flair that made her the national champion in the same age-group. Abbreviations used in the results are:— . „ , , .
