Top U.S. banker to see P.M.

Mr Walter Hoadley, executive, vice-president and Chief economist of ■ the:’ Bank of America, will meet New Zealand Government and financial officials next week. •; Mr Hoadley has an appointment with the' Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) on October 30 and 1 expects to meet bankers in Wellington and in Auckland. - One of the most distinguished banking and economic' authorities in the United States, he is a native Sah Franciscan who was chairman of the Federal reserve Bank of Philadelphia before he returned to the city of his birth in. 1966 to join the Bank of America. The bank, which has head? quarters in San Francisco,’is the world’s biggest commerical financial institution, With 1104 branches in California, 133 offices overseas, and current assets of $110.7 billion.
Mr Hoadley will address the International Association of Finance Executives in Sydney on October 27 and arrive at Wellington from Melbourne on October 29.
