Referendum petition
PA Dunedin About 50,000 signatures were on the South Island Movement’s petition for a referendum on self-govern-ment within a federal system, said one of the movement’s founders, Mr G. Morton, yesterday. It would probably be presented to Parliament when it resumed next year, he said.
