Call for ‘eviction’

Mr Harold Evans, the retired Christchurch magistrate, has sent a telegram to the Deputy Prime. Minister (Mr Taiboys) calling for the “eviction” or Mr Muldoon.

In the telegram, Mr Evans has said he is not content to remain silent in the. light Of Mr Muldoon’s Claim to have received a preponderance of telegrams in support. He is “fully aware” of a leadership record "unparalleled

for its divisiveness and want of statesmanship,” and has therefore called for his “immediate eviction.”

Copies of the’ telegram have been sent to the Ministers of Social Welfare (Mr Gair), Labour (Mr Bolger), Jusitce (Mr McLay), Housing (Mr Quigley), as well as the members of Parliament for Hamilton West (Mr M. J. Minogue) and Waipa (Ms Marilyn Waring).
