Taste of water a ‘warning’
PA Wellington People who tried drinking water contaminated with 2,-4,5,-T would know it, and would stop drinking long before they had taken enough of the chemical to poison them, says Mr R. Moffat, the New Plymouthbased research manager of Ivon Watkins-Dow, Ltd.
He said he wanted to allay fears that might have been raised by a newspaper report outlining an incident when a helicopter allegedly sprayed the Makara stream, Wellington, last-week-end. The stream is used for drinking water for . some residents;’ ■ '
