NZPA Wellington A pregnant counsellor working at a- Wellington abortion clinic has caused some embarrassment to the Wellington Hospital Board. The woman has been running counselling sessions for patients seeking abortions. When her pregnancy became Obvious the Hospital Board suggested that she might like to transfer to another area of the hospital. There was some con-

cern that her condition might upset patients or put pressure on them. But the woman was not prepared to shift and referred the issue to the Public Service Association. The outcome has been a compromise. The medical superintendent of the Wellington Hospital Board, Mr Caleb Tucker, said yesterday that patients would be given the alternative of being counselled ' y the pregnant iff member or another counsellor.
