Cardiff’s second thoughts
NZPA Swansea The Cardiff rugby club,; beaten, 16-9 by the All Blacks at the week-end, is having second thoughts about its projected tour of New Zealand next May The club’s secretary, Mr Alun Friday, said yesterday that the club committee would decide definitely on the tour within the next two weeks.
But some members, he said, thought the offered itinerary too tough for a club which, although one of Wales’s best, is going through a lean period. Among the sides Cardiff is scheduled to play against are Otago, Canterbury, Manawatu, Auckland, Wellington, Wairarapa and Bay of Plenty.
