Lay-offs at pottery

PA Auckland Crown Lynn Potteries is preparing to lay off up to 50 workers because of. a lack of forward orders for its chinaware. A spokesman for the company said that seven salaried workers were dismissed on Friday. Other sources suggested that between 40 and 50 more workers would be given notice this week.
