Young girl missing
The Christchurch police are “very concerned” for the safety of a young girl, aged six* who went missing from her home in Cashel Street about 12.30
p.m. yesterday. She is Andrea Marie Turner, who left her home to visit a friend in Essex Street, only several hundred metres away. She has not been seen since. The police say that she
is not afraid of anyone and has a tendency to wander. When last seen, Andrea Turner was wearing a green jersey, a long blue dress with red flowers, a multi-
coloured wrap-around jersey, and sandals with no socks. She had a slight-cold and her right thumbnail was coming off. Anybody seeing her is asked to get in touch with the police.
