High-speed chase
Sir, — I understand that there has recently been criticism levelled at traffic officers for their actions in pursuing and apprehending two motor-cyclists on a stolen motor-cycle. Why is it that the officers are so rarely praised by the public for their bravery and initiative but are more often criticised for their action in the course of their duty. I for one would like to express my sincere thanks and admiration to the traffic officers involved: — It was my bike. — Yours, etc., ROBERT J. HAY, Dunedin. September 21, 1980.
