Experiments using animals
Sir, — Mr Moore’s statement (“The Press” Septenv ber 13) that “various Government Departments should be brought together to draft legislation on endangered species and animal experimentation” was more than welcome to all those who have been working for the rights of animals. We could have the opportunity to lead other countries in bringing this long neglected issue to prominence. Most people find references to acts of experimentation not only horrifying but hard to accept as a fact. Let us be dauntless and all combine in giving Mr Moore our fullest support. We have long been ■agitating for people of his calibre to make a stand in Parliament. — Yours, etc., NATALIE TAYLOR, Christchurch Co-Ordinator, N.Z, Anti-Vivisection Society. September 16, 1980.
