Kenty retains boxing title
NZPA-Reuter. San Juan, , Puerto Rico Hilmer Kenty, of the United States, retained his World Boxing Association (W.8.A.) lightweight title yesterday when- he battered the challenger, Ernesto “El Gato” Espana, of Venezuela, into defeat in the fourth round.
The referee stopped the fight at the' Hiram Bithom in Sari Juan, after two minutes 57. seconds of the round -when Espana was ho ’longer able to defend himself.’. • : . It. was . Kenty’s. eighteenth win in as "many fights an<l Espana’s third defeat in 311 bouts. f.
