Jehovah’s Witnesses’ convention

Jehovah’s Witnesses from the Christchurch West and South-East and Kaiapoi congregations will attend the second of their two-day semiannual circuit conventions, at the Heaton Intermediate School today and tomorrow. Mr Peter Moore, the convention organiser, said that about 300 were expected to attend the convention.

Mr M. Gower, district overseer for Jehovah’s Witnesses in New Zealand, will give a public address, “Our refuge amid increasing dangers,” on Sunday afternoon. The theme of the gathering is “Set apart from the world.”
