Solo hunt for haul
PA Auckland The disappearance of a bank bag containing more than $50,000 on Wednesday remains a mystery to the Auckland police. Detective Senior-Sergeant T. S. Wall said . yesterday that there was no indication how the bag vanished from a security firm van on, its way to the Reserve' Bank in central Auckland. Checks on other banks at which the Securitas, Ltd, van called — mainly in the inner western suburbs — had proved the bag had not been inadvertently unloaded. ■ . None of the serial numbers on the used notes in $1 to $2O denominations was known, said Senior-Sergeant Wall. He is., working on the case alone because of the large number of staff committed to three recent killings in Auckland.
