Wool sale extended
A An extra day of wool selling will.,he. held in ChriSjtchurch . f'ij i ;tnte'%‘,y?pbL auction committee-has agreed to the one-day sale set for later this month being extended to two days. ~' The sale will now be held on September 24 and 26 instead of September 25, ahd the offering has been creased to 38,000 bales from 28.000 bales. At The chairman ■of the Christchurch;. Woolbrokers’ Asspqiatiph.,;.. (Mr N. D. Roach) -said; yesterday..that the "request for the extension had been made by his association after an influx of wool because of the recent good weather for shearing. Some of the sheep shorn before lambing have been clipping 10 per cent more than last year, but this ihr Crease is not expected to be maintained, particularly her cause of ' the possible adverse effect of footrot.
