Taieri Plains assistance

North Canterbury small seed growers will be asked to help farmers on Otago’s Taieri Plans who lost pasture during the recent floods. The North Canterbury Federated Farmers provincial executive was told that almost 30,000 kilograms of ryegrass and ckn ver seed would be needed to restore the ruined paddocks. The provincial president (Mr A. L. Mulholland) said that Taieri Plains fanners were not looking for a

The executive was told that members of the Canterbury Friesian Club had given about 110 heifers to help dairyfanners at Taieri. who had lost stock.
