House raid: police probe continues
The Christchurch police are still investigating an attack on a house in Auburn Upper Riccarton, on Tuesday evening. Neighbours said that a group of youths wielding softball bats - and other weapons had descended on the two-storeyed house about 9.15 p.m. The windows of two cars were smashed, and .the front door of the house broken. A complaint of wilful -damage had been made to the police. Several police cars .’rushed to the street,'.but the offenders had fled.’ None of the occupants of the house was injured. Police inquiries are continuing. ' ■
