NZPA-Reuter Stockholm The Swedish Prime Minister (Mr Thorbjom Falldin) hitch-hiked to Parliament in time for the opening yesterday of an extraordinary session. , , - Mr Falldin, head of Sweden’s non-sooialist, threeparty coalition Government, was one of thousands of Swedish rail commuters delayed by repair work after a train accident north of Stockholm on Sunday in which nine people were killed. . ... The train carrying Mr Faljdin had to stop because of repairs on the damaged line. Fearing .that he might be late for Parliament Mr Falldin left the train and managed to get a ride with a motorist on his way to Stockholm.
During the session the Opposition leader (Mr Olof Palme) said that his Social Democrats would try' to bring down the Government over its plans to give Sweden the highest value-added tax in Europe. ,
