N.Z. and Israel
Sir, — Labour’s unwar» ranted anti-Semitic charge against Social Credit should have been directed at the National Party which, under Mr Muldoon’s leaderhsip, is creating problems for this country through his double standard policy relating to Israel and the security of the Western world. The fact that the Prime Minister has shown allegiance to the enemies of . Israel by supporting the pro-Communist Palestinian cause is at variance with the views of the majority of our allies, particularly the United States which is expected to . come to our aid in time of war. Should an alien Palestinian State be formed within range of Israel through the efforts of a Communist controlled United Nations,. a ' third war would be a distinct possibility before the end of this century. —- Yours, etc., L. WESTNEY August 22,1980
