Sir, — Mr T. K. Burke reportedly said (“The Press,” August 22): “Mr Savage did not accept the validity of Social Credit’s financial policy.” He should not try to discount history of which he cannot have first-hand knowledge. Mr Savage said in 1935: “I cannot see anything wrong with a party (meaning Social Credit) which wants to give back to the people that which belongs to them, i.e. Government oriented monetary reform.” — Yours, etc., H.
