Whakatane sunniest
PA Whakatane Whakatane, New Zealand’s sunniest place last year, is again heading the sunshine list — but only by a ray or two from its traditional rival. Nelson. According to figures in the New Zealand Gazette, Whakatane has had 1069 hours of bright sunshine for the six months to June, with Nelson six hours behind at 1063 hours.
