Boeings for Air Force?
PA Wellington The Royal New Zealand Air Force could be using former Air New Zealand Boeing 737 s as long-range transport aircraft in about two years, the Minister of. Defence (Mr Thomson) has said. The Government had au-j thorised negotiations with! the Air Force to buy two ‘ 737 s in recognition of the ‘ need for more long-range: transports. If the negotia-i tions were successful, firm > Air Force proposals would! be put to the Cabinet, he said, in reply to a question by Mr N. J. Kirk (Lab., Sydenham).
