A£.—Not reopening the subject now, though we should note that the August 8- article refers to an unsought loss, and the concern can be applied equally to human beings without entering an argument about morals. LB. —“Ti” is the correct prefix to describe the cabbage tree and either “kouka” or “kauka” is an appropriate suffix to indicate the common species Cordyline australis, according to Williams’s “Dictionary of the Maori Language.” There are other suffixes for other species of cabbage tree.
