PA Wellington . The Government intends to increase exchanges with members of the Association of South-East Asian Nations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Mr Taiboys) has announced. Mr Taiboys said the new exchange programme was designed to promote understanding in areas not now

i covered by other programmes. He had in mind exchanges of youhg people who had shown leadership qualities, academic and cultural groups, the hews media and other professional groups.

An allocation of $25,000 has been made for the programme for 1980-81. It will be administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
