A MESSAGE TO ALL FORD CORTINA OWNERS ••' - - - " , - - v- - V “ ‘' •’ -•»•>•;•,•''.<•.•.•'•-•»• •■■• •-' Ford success assists the Outward Bound Development Drive. On behalf of the Ford Motor Company of New Zealand Limited and Ford Dealers throughout New Zealand, I am pleased to congratulate you, the Ford Cortina owner, for contributing to a major automotive milestone. Because of your outstanding acceptance of the Ford Cortina since its introduction in 1962, we are this month celebrating the sale of the 100,000 th Cortina in New Zealand. To mark the occasion, a new Ford Cortina GL sedan has been donated to the Outward Bound Trust of New Zealand as first prize in a drive to raise funds for the Trust’s re-building project at Anakiwa. I’m sure you’ll appreciate the value’of helping such a worthy organisation which does so much for the development of young New Zealanders. Just as Outward Bound strives for development, so development has been a key undertaking in the evolution of the Ford Cortina range. The history of the car in New Zealand and its success demonstrates its acceptability as a family car that is right for its time. This is truly reflected in the New European Cortina’ recently introduced to the New Zealand motorist. If you haven’t taken the opportunity to see this new car, I invite you to test drive it today at your local Ford Dealer. _ I know you will find that the new Cortina range will be a worthy successor to previous models and increase even further the popularity of Ford Cortina as New Zealand’s No. 1 car for the new decade. Thank you again for your support and your assistance in helping us contribute to the Outward Bound project. Yours sincerely J.G.Auton Managing Director • ' 4/8/80 Ford Motor Company of New Zealand Limited.
