UNIVERSITY OF LWI WAIKATO FINANCE REGISTRAR APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for the position of Finance Registrar of the University. As principal financial administrator in the University, the appointee will be responsible to the Registrar. He or she will have full budgeting and accounting responsibilities and will be required to service University committees, give management advice and show versatility in such other administrative duties as may be required. The. University has an operating budget of more than $lO million per annum, and other expenditure under special grants. The Finance Office will be under the day-to-day management of a senior member of the Finance Registrar’s staff. The office currently has 16 staff, three of whom are professionally qualified. The University’s administrative computer is a Wang VS. Wages and salaries are about 75 per cent of the operating budget and will be on computer by the end of 1980. A computerised general ledger system is to be developed. Applicants should be professionally qualified and thoroughly experienced in financial management, investment of money, trust accounting, E.D.P., and staff control. The salary will be in the range $23,825-$26,722 per annum according to qualifications and experience. New Zealand Government Superannuation is available.
