New head of church

A new president has been appointed for the South New Zealand Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is Pastor Peter Colquon, who did his theological training at Avondale College in Australia. Mr Colquon has worked at the local church level in New Zealand and Australia.

Mr Colquon will replace Pastor Clem Christian, who has been the South New Zealand president for more than five years. Mr Christian has been transferred to Adelaide, where he will be responsible for the Seventh Day Adventist Chiirch in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
