PA Timaru A line of scoured fine wool grown by D.M.C. Burnett, of Mount Cook station, in the Mackenzie Country, brought a record price at the Bradford (Yorkshire) auction, according to London wool brokers. Three bales of super extra-fine Merino hogget fleece from the station made 617 c a kilogram, the highest price in a Bradford sale and the first time that wool has sold at more than 600 c. Two other Mackenzie Country stations, Otematata and Aviemore, also topped 600 c.
