Mr B. E. Queenin has beeni appointed New Zealand trav-l el commissioner in New > York. He will be responsible! for the promotion of this 1 country’s tourism in the eastern sectors of the United States. ' Mr Queenin has worked in several offices in the Tourist and Publicity Department . since joining the Government Tourist Bureau in 1963. He spent five years in the department’s Melbourne!,
'office where he was responI sible for liaison with Australian travel agents rearrang- ! ing promotions in Victoria, [Tasmania, South and West- ; ern Australia, and has been in charge of the development of new market areas, particularly in SouthEast Asia, Africa and South America. He succeeds Mr G. Patton. He wall take up his new appointment in New York in lAugust.
