Raids halt gamblers
PA Auckland The threat of police raids appears at least temporarily to have quietened pyramid parties. Although there were no raids on Auckland on Monday evening. The pyrainid party-goers brave enough to carry on were keeping out of sight. - Many parties have apparently closed for a day or two ’until secret meeting places can be arranged. The parties that continued on Monday-1 evening - reported that business was slow.
