I I PA * New Plymouth Taranaki won a place in the provincial seven-a-side rushy; finals, to be contested later in the season, when it beat Wanga-' nui in a regional final at Ilawera on Sunday. Two teams from each union: appeared, but the A teams made’ it easilv into the final. Taranaki., with a better appreciation of the; sevens style, was too good for; Wanganui and won the final, 18-9.; To reach the final. Taranaki thrashed Wanganui's secondstring line-up. 38-8. in a six-try, rout. Wanganui disposed of Taranaki's second team. 23-0. with similar ease. h
