Budget Advisory Service
Sir — It is pleasing to see that there is a possibility of a financial contribution“being made to the Budget Advisory Service from M.E.D. funds. Families we have referred have been helped sometimes over a long period to liquidate their debts. We appreciate the work of the Budget Advisory Service’s staff and
the difficulties they must be facing in working with families to help them manage when at the same time much of their energy is being absorbed in considering their own financial future. We hope that some collective arrangement can be reached between the business community, the local authority and the Government that will provide this agency with long-term financial support. — Yours etc. M. R. McGREGOR, Superintendent, Christchurch Presbyterian Social Service Association. July 9, 1980.
