Skating for St John

The St John Ambulance will receive proceeds of a public ice skating session to be held at Centaurus rink between '2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 20. The Heathcote County Council’s finance and administration committee has agreed to the proposal by the rink’s management to run the public session. Lights and power will be paid by the management and staff will give their time free during the afternoon. The car-park will be patrolled at all times. Book Spending.— As part of the council’s participation in National Conservation Week, $75 will be spent on books on environmental studies for play centres in

the Heathcote area. The sum has been allowed for in the estimates.
