Essay contest winners
The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Highet) has selected two winners in a recent “Pride in our Nation” essay competition for schoolchildren. Nicola Penman, aged 10, of Auckland, won the under-11 section, and Troy Rika, aged 13, of Bay of Plenty, won the 11 years and over section. The competition was sponsored by New Zealand Jaycees and “Fact” magazine.
