NZPA Washington Air New Zealand will pay an interest rate between 8.3 per cent and 9.25 per cent for its loan from the United States ExportImport (Ex-Ini) bank to buy five Boeing ?47 jumbo jets. A bank spokesman declined to disciose the exact figure, but said that it would be “somewhat less than 9.25 per cent." He said that the deal would not go ahead until after October 1, because the Ex-Im bank had exhausted its available loan moneys for the present financial year.
