Mr Jordan, aged .44, was back in his room later and was conscious.' : ;

The lawyer for Mrs Martha Coleman said his client had stayed in seclusion since the shooting of Jordan to avoid becoming a national figure. But she probably would have to come forward soon to tell her side of the story. Mr Charles F. Leonard said the results, of a lie detector. test had eliminated his client as a suspect in the case. Mr Jordan, the National Urban League president, is given a good chance of recovering from the shooting.
