Appeal for children’s aid trust
“Bulbathon' is the name of an appeal to be launched by the New Zealand Jaycees in August to raise $500,000 for a South Pacific Children’s Aid Trust.
The money will be raised through the sale of a million light bulbs. Focusing on health and education, the <~ust will provide aid for children in the South-West Pacific. The Jaycees are compiling data on the needs of children in the region.
Sir John Marshall will be a patron of the trust, which will emphasise selfsufficiency and the preservation of traditional life-styles.
