“School Week”
Sir, — Congratulations are due to the New Zealand Educational Institute for its promotion of “School Week.” I have taken the opportunity offered by my chil-\ dren’s school to visit and participate and have found it a thoroughly worth-while exercise. Until this promo-
tion I was not fully aware of the needs in schools and how many basic services have been cut by Government pruning. I hope all parents and schools have taken the opportunity to use this week to help community understanding of education in school and as a result help my children. — Yours, etc., W. PAINE.
