Help sought by tax workers
Public Service i Association members of the Inland Revenue Department staff in Christchurch will send a "Help Wanted” plea to the Government. MOreXthan 200 P.S.A. members voted unanimously yesterday to ask for a staff increase in the department’s local branch, after a controversy this week Over the proposed' ’ use; of temporary employment workers under the Government’ scheme. •The vote:yPsterdav is part of .a Continuing P.S.A. protest -against the Government’*- "sinking .lid" policy.
Members said that executive officersof .the P.S. A. ; should ■ seek' tm - immediate meeting with . the cabinet Committed On State Services.
