Underwater hockey ' test’

The home team will not approach its underwater hockey “test” against Australia B at Queen Elizabeth II Park tomorrow with any great optimism.

“Australia will be very good, unfortunately,” said a spokesman for the Canterbury Underwater Hockey Association. Teams from Wellington, Dunedin, Timaru and Christchurch will be competing at the venue over the week-end

and the national side (six players and one reserve) will be drawn from the best of them. , . Underwater hockey is played throughout the world, including such other countries as Canada, France, West Germany, and the United States. The “test,” which will begin at about 10 a.m., will be played in the diving pool at the park.
