Mr G. J. Wattie to retire
PA Wellington Mr G. J. Wattie, group managing director of Wattie Industries, Ltd, since 1972, had sought and been granted early retirement from his post, said the chairman (Mr D. F. McLeod) yesterday. Mr Wattie had put forward his request at a meeting of the board in Hastings on Wednesday, Mr McLeod said, “It was most reluctantly received by the board,” he said.
