Three motorists sought
The Ashburton police seek three motorists who may have been first to the scene of last Sunday’s fata! motor accident at Bankside, just north of Rakaist. A mother and two children died in the two-car collision, while both drivers survived. ' Senior-Sergeant W. J. Porter said yesterday that there had been a good response from some people who had been at the scene, but there were three other motorists, who may have been among the first there, the police would particularly like to interview. Two were a man and a woman who had been travelling south on the highway in a white van, and had intended going fishing at the Rakaia River. The driver of a brown and beige Toyota Microbus (mini-bus) who had assisted the injured at the accident was also sought
