Stabbed student dies
PA Wellington A university student who was stabbed on a Wellington street yesterday afternoon died on the operating table at . the Wellington Hospital shortly after being taken there. He was Miles lan’ Lars Macfarlane, aged 20.
The police late last evening charged a man with murder. Mr’Macfarlane cried “Why me, why me?” as he fell to the ground after the stabbing, as shocked shoppers crowded around. His friends, badly shaken, said that they had no idea who the attacker was.
