Smart wins golf
The Templeton professional golfer Geoff Smart yesterday won 'the Harewood pro-am by one stroke with a four-under-par round of 69. Stephen Charles, in second place, scored 70, one less than the third, place-getter, Richard Coombes. The top amateur was Grant Percy, who shot a 74 for 43 stableford points. Peter Samms also had a 74 but gained only 42 stableford points. Leading scorers were: 69 —G. Smart, 70 — S. Charles,
71 —R. Combes, 72 — P, Hambletf, Mi, Moynihan. 73 — E. Hanton, K. Allen, C, Richards.
