Schoolboy soccer
The first round of the Christchurch Secondary Schools’ Football Association competition began on Saturday and matches in the three divisions resulted:— Premier division: Christchurch Boys’ High School 6, Burnside High School 2; Shirley Boys’ High School 1, Cashmere High School 0; Linwood High School 5, St Bedes 0; St Andrew’s I, Hornby High School 1; St Thomas 6. Middleton Grange 0; Xavier College 4, Hillmorton High School 1. First division: Boys’ High School II 2, Burnside II 0; Linwood II 3, St Bedes TI 2; Riccarton High School 9. Christ’s College 0; Shirley H 12, St Andrew’s It 3. Second division: Shirley HI 2, St Bedes ni 2; Xavier College II 12.. Shirley IV 2; St Thomas H 3, St Bedes IV fl; ILnwood IH 7. St Andrew’s HI 1.
