Victorian suite sells for $2200
A three-piece Victorian drawing-room suite has beeii sold for $2200 at an auction of antique furniture, gold and silverware and china in Christchurch: Theauction, which was conducted by Mr Barry-Wat-Son, of Watson's Auctions Bnd Real Estate, .realised, more than $20,000. Mr Watson said that bidding was spirited.’ More than 150 people attended. Among the 322 Ipts offet-. ed were 52 pieces of sterling silver Danish flat ware, which fetched $2OOO, and an Erickson skeleton telephone, which sold for $260. A rolljtop desk was sold for $550.
