Arts group given $10,000
The Pacific Arts Association has bean given a 810,000 grant from lottery profits, the Minister for the Arts (Mr Higher) has announced. The association, which was formed during the second international symposium on Pacific arts in Wellington in 1978, aims to promote understanding and research of the arts in Oceania. It has members from Pacific nations. North America, and Europe. The grant is for administration costs and includes $7OOO towards the cost of publishing research papers from the symposium.
